The Northern Forest
Alliance and a broad
team of partners , including the Vermont Department
of Forests, Parks, and Recreation and the University
of Vermont, have been working together for a year to
develop the Vermont
Town Forest Project.
This project is helping Vermont's towns develop new cultural
and educational programs in their town forests, improve
stewardship of town forests, and in some cases purchase
a new town forest.
