Ethic Toolbox

Wilderness Society. The Toolbox is for people who have fallen in love
with wild places and want to help protect them and pass them on- healthy
and intact- to future generations, whether they are in our backyards

Northeastern
Area Forest Legacy Program
The federal Forest Legacy Program provides funds to help protect environmentally-important
forests threatened by conversion to nonforest uses. The Federal government,
states and local partners, use Legacy funds to buy conservation
easements, or to purchase land from willing sellers outright.
The program is perhaps the most important conservation funding source
in the Northern Forest, particularly for large-scale projects. |
